Personal: Kirk Bishop was the 'only' child born from the marriage of Anna Steward and David Bishop . Kirk grew up on Columbus's East Side and attended Champion Jr. High School and East High School. He Loved music and hoped to one day become a local Radio DJ. Well, his wish came true! He won an audition to host a Black Owned Local Radio Station WVKO, in which he was one of the Lead DJs! He worked for several years at WVKO in Columbus, Ohio and also at a competitor station WBBY which was a Jazz station. He had a Unique 'Husky-Soulful' Voice and he mixed those vocal chords with evervescent dialogue on the Air-Waves electrifying and soothing all those Listeners by the Radio!! While his success climbed, he later met a lady by the name of Betty Chrone. They would go on to produce their 'only' child, Monica Chrone. Kirk would later succumb to personal health problems that would inevitably rob him of a once promising carreer in the Radio Hosting business. Kirk passed away recently, But his voice and style will be forever remembered here within the "Urban Community" Of the 'Capital City', Columbus Ohio.
