Personal: So far, from sources gathered, there seem to be several variances of Meechak's FIRST NAME. For whatever reasons, I've basically decided to go with 'Meechak' where applicable throughout this website. His 'other' First Names are mentioned above. Per Winona Steward's Personal artifacts; Meechak was a Slave born during the years of 1803-1804 somewhere in Virginia. As he grew into Adulthood, he married 3 times. He and his 1st wife bore 6 kids [CLOE, CRAWFORD, AMISTED, JOHN, CINDY, and CATHERINE]. His 1st wife's name is still not known. He and his 2nd wife, named SALLY, produced 1 child. Her name was MARY JANE. The first two wives and their offspring represent the "Side" Descendant information for Meechak which does NOT directly involve the evolvement of the STEWARD generations. Nevertheless, Meechak's "Side" Descendant Family Bio information is also chronicled in another Family TABLE structure. This WEBSITE intends to focus on Meechak's 3rd wife named SARAH and her offspring generations. Between Meechak and Sarah, they produced 7 kids with one of them (ANNA HUGHES) playing the 'key' role in the evolution of the STEWARD family. The other 6 names are [BETSY, SARAH, ALBERT, CHARLEY, WILLIAM, and WALTER]. So, as you can see the "Main" item of interest here, is that Meechak was the FATHER of Anna Hughes Jones and the HUSBAND of SARAH JONES.
