Personal: Joe Powell is the Youngest of the 5 children produced from the marriage of Joseph Powell and his wife Winona Steward . Joe grew up as an athletically gifted young man who played Jr. High Basketball and High School Football. He later earned a Football Scholarship at the University of Cincinnatti. Unfortunately for Joe, he suffered a torn ACL his freshman year at Cinci and never really recovered from it. He then left Cinci to enlist in the Army. He spent the majority of time stationed in Hawaii while married to his High School sweetheart, Shelley Jones .When his tour was up, he relocated back to the capital city of Columbus, Ohio. Overtime, he's had various jobs througout central since he's been out the Military, but he hadn't really settled into one in which he really liked, until now, in June of 2002! He has since passed a qualifying test involving Plumbing and Heating and Air-Conditioning Sponsored through a Local Business enterprise and is now employed by JATC Plumbers & Pipefitters, Local 189. He is currently a 1st year apprentice and is on his way to becomming a Journeyman in 5! Through JATC, he gets all his licensing and certification in Plumbing & Pipefitting, HVAC, Welding, Heavy Equipment, and OHSA training pretty much from working on a construction site. He's worked his butt off for this one and his strong math and dexterity background is getting him some good school grades, with tests and quizzes. Joe's been pretty modest and humble about all this, and is fine without anybody knowing how much effort and discipline he's put fort in his endevor, However, his lovely wife Shelley would like to let it be known to all with the following quote "Dagnabit, I'll say it for him! He's working really hard, learning a whole lot really fast and he's really good at it and I'm proud of him!"..........................Well, that about says it all so, Joe, Go head, Go head, Go head!!!!!
