FirstName: Winona LastName: Steward BirthDate: October 23, 1924 Birth Place: Columbus, Ohio Date Of Death: February 22, 2021 Personal: Winona Steward was the 'baby' of the 4 kids produced from the marriage of Gustavous Steward and his wife Winona Coleman. Winona's other siblings included: [ Anna, Frank, and Mary] She attended Columbus East High School and later completed her Bachelors in Science for Education at Virginia State College in Petersburg, Virginia to become a Teacher. Winona later married a gentleman by the name of Joseph Powell. Joe was a 2nd Lt. at the time while serving duty in the US Air Force. They went on to have 5 children whose names are Chris, Tony , Mark , "Sister", and Joe . Because of Military obligations, Winona and her family lived in several States. Among some of the places they lived in the most included St. Louis (East St.) MO, San Angelo Texas, Anchorage Alaska, and mostly Columbus, Ohio. Winona has since been divorced from Joseph and is currently living in the house which her parents lived and where she was born, 222 North 21st Street, Columbus Ohio. She is a retired teacher from the Columbus School System and has taught several Elementary schools throughout the Columbus vicinity. She also spent a considerable amount of time over the years to research and gather many necessary family artifacts, pictures, and other related information to help provide the fuel to put together this website. Also, For a little international Flavor, Winona's son Mark is married to a Philippino woman by the name of Angela Rosales and they and their children also reside in Columbus, Ohio.
